Bio

My career in music technology spans over three decades, beginning with MIDI sequencing in 1990. In the early 2000s, I pioneered online music software education in Korea with a popular video lecture series and founded VSTGURU.COM, a key community hub.

My academic path led me to Stanford University's Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics (CCRMA) in 2009. Upon graduating in 2014, my doctoral research on collaborative music systems led me to join Google's Chrome Audio team as a Software Engineer working on the Web Audio API.

Today, I am an Engineering Manager and Tech Lead at Google and co-chair of the W3C Audio Working Group. I also continue my connection to academia by teaching and mentoring students at my alma mater.
